Rent-free Gas Bottles
All gas cylinders are supplied on a rent-free basis.
I.e. there are no recurring charges for bottle rental.
How it works
- Pay a deposit to get a cylinder when you first buy gas.
- Later on, buy gas refills in exchange cylinders.
- At the end, return the cylinder to get your deposit refunded.
Welding Gases
Argon shielding gases, Oxygen, and Propylene fuel gas.
Available in 2 Litre, 10 Litre, and 20 Litre rent-free cylinders.
All cylinders have the same standard fitting as BOC, Air Products & Air Liquide.
Pure Argon
For MIG welding and TIG welding.
- Composition: 99.9% Argon.
- Suitable for thin and medium sections.
- MIG welding: Use on stainless steel 1mm to 12mm thickness; good arc control used with or without pulse.
- TIG welding: Use on materials 1mm to 8mm thickness; stable arc with easy starting.

5% CO2/Argon Mix
Formulated for MIG welding of mild steel 1mm to 8mm thickness.
- Composition: 95% Argon, 5% Carbon Dioxide.
- Gives low spatter and good weld appearance.
- Usable in all positions.
- Also suitable for pulsed arc and robotic use.

20% CO2/Argon Mix
Formulated for MIG welding of mild steel 6mm to 14mm+ thickness.
- Composition: 80% Argon, 20% Carbon Dioxide.
- For use on thick sections.
- Not generally used for pulsed arc, but excellent with cored wires.

Our prices are simple:
- When gas is sold in the first instance, there is a one-off bottle deposit to be paid on the cylinder.
- For refills we only charge for the gas supplied in the exchange cylinder.
- Return of an undamaged cylinder equates to a full refund of the original bottle deposit.
- There are no other costs, except for delivery when required.

Our warehouse is in Mere Green, Sutton Coldfield, located behind the shops on the main road. Opening hours may vary, so please call first to make an appointment. All items are usually in stock; however, you are advised to check availability before your visit. We are open to both trade and the public.
